What you should do is pretty obvious, but I can't remember what it is.

Poor attitude won't help. Humor is part of this community, try being a part of it before you dismis it. Google it yourself if you're going to be a putz.

aw come on. my reply was fair considering when I posted it you only had:

go back to the properties, desktop tab, customize desktop, web tab. uncheck any web pages and unlock desktop items (click all the oks and applys)

if there is no web page, add one and see if another hidden on shows up.

Piss off asshat. Sometimes people leave smart ass remarks just to keep your thread on top in case someone who knows the answer may find it. If I knew the answer I wouldn't tell you because you seriously lack class.

MasonM, go back and look at #7, 2nd quote - that 's all that was posted when I first replied.

He was probably editing while I was posting.

(this is shortly after installing some custom theme) cant remember which one though.

That hardly assists with problem-solving.

'custom theme'...of/for what?....WinAMP?

Unfortunately 'help' is limited by the principle of 'GIGO'.

You really need to be more precise with your problem's description/cause...

Thank you for apologizing. That's cool.

Open an image in MS Paint . . .Open the wallpaper you want . . . File | Set as background.

Any error?
Are you running as an admin?

never mind, look at #142 on the right column. mouse over before you click - there is an enable and disable.

try the enable one. it's a reg.  I believe double clicking it will put it in.

Download and save Cleandesktop to your computer from this link: http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/cleandesktop.exe and double click on the cleandesktop.exe

It will automatically extract to c:\desktopclean where it needs to be to run and will automatically run the cleandesktop.vbs script

If it doesn't open then go to c:\desktopclean and double click on the cleandesktop.vbs.

If you have script blocking enabled you will get a warning about a malicious script wanting to run. Allow this script to run. It is not malicious.

If you get a message when you first run it "Can not find script file *.*" just double click the cleandesktop.vbs script again.

It will then kill Explorer. You will lose your taskbar and desktop. It will repair the registry entries returning your normal desktop and context menu functions.

It will auto restart Explorer.
