Almost Like Being There...sort of

Well, since the DOT shut me down for the night thanks to a clerical error (to err is human but to really screw things up requires a computer), I got myself all settled into a parking space with a solid WiFi signal and proceeded to make the best of it.

Since there's no bar around here I bought a 6 pack to drink while sititng here. Not as good as socializing someplace, but it passes the time. I decided to check out some webcams while sitting here and found a couple at some pretty popular bars in Florida and South Carolina. Naturally the folks in the bars know the cameras are there and they tend to ham it up a bit. It's kinda funny watching them and listening to them. Not bad for free entertainment.

Webcams are everywhere these days. I've found some around that are set up as security cameras, tourist cams, and many assorted others. Often they are good enough you can get the license plate numbers off of cars. I like the bar cams and the tourist cams as those folks tend to ham it up for the camera which can be fun, but sometimes the ones that are most interesting are the ones where people aren't aware the camera is there. You see some pretty strange things sometimes.

Ah well, the things we do to amuse ourselves LOL

the beer sounds good,  maybe I'll have myself a can yet this summer...not supposed to,  however just twice a year isn't so bad is it??

What kind of interesting things have you seen???  ahhhhh would love to hear allllll about it!

I can't imagine a beer or two hurting anyone, but then I'm no doctor so never take medical advice from me

I see all sorts of interesting things on the webcams. I see guys pickcing up hooers in front of ATMs and I wonder if they're wife just might be watching the same camera at the time. I see bar fights happen, I see guys trying to pick up ladies and getting shot down. I once even saw a guy hitting on an obvious transvestite and then be shocked when he realized she was really a he...oh wait, maybe that was Crocodile Dundee...

I am going to have to check out that web cam some day.  It will be interesting.  I remember the early internet (Before web cams) and how people thought they could control a robot over the internet.  Kept some entertained for hours tho.

It's entertaining when you're bored. There are a few robotic cam sites. On one you get to play with their toy train set, a race car set, and a toy steam shovel. On another you operate a toy bulldozer kind of truck. All silly of course, but entertaining just the same.

There are several that people have set up in the homes and you just watch whatever they are doing at home. Kinda boring really.
