A 106 degree inferno...

It's not even offically summer yet, and we have had several days of 100 plus weather here. Just a few days ago, we hit 106 degrees...yikes. My guy and I have been gulping down iced water like two frat boys chugging on a Friday night...

I should thank my lucky stars that it has "cooled" down to the 90s today...Believe it or not, you CAN feel the difference...

Thank God for AC. It sounds like you need a trip to the water park. Stay cool.

we only were at 87 degrees yesterday,  and it's humid too.  Had July weather in May and how in June we're having August weather!

what next?

You guys are even hotter though!!  OUch!

We've been in the hundreds regularly, as well (Panhandle), and yesterday, mercifully, brought the first rain we've seen in awhile (as well as a five hour power outage). If we don't get more rain, August will make the March wildfires look like campfires, I'm afraid.

But, the weather's broken for us as well, and, fortunately, the hottest days of summer occur as the days are getting shorter. And there's one thing we have going for us in the Panhandle: it cools down QUICKLY in the evenings.

LM~~Thank God for AC. It sounds like you need a trip to the water park. Stay cool.~~

We have what you call a "swamp" cooler, so those tend not to work really well in extreme heat...but you know, it's better than nothing. It has helped a bit having a few extra fans around the house, too.

Are you reading this, Dig? We need our ice cooler back!

(Inbloom here "accidentally" posting under dig's)

Ouch...humidity makes all the more icky.
I thinking the same thing you are...if it is hot right now, how is it going to be when our official summer comes along. Yikes...maybe I don't want to know.

We need rain so bad here...but at least we haven't had the problems with the brushfires (well, at least so far). I really hope they don't occur in your parts.

Wanna come to North Dakota? (I don't blame you if you say no.) At worst we've felt 80 degrees so far. Today a nice 10-minute rainstorm cooled us off. Now the skies are blue with white, fluffy clouds. A gentle cooling breeze is making the sunshine pleasant. But later the bugs will eat us alive if we dare go outside
