You would call a boy Elisha?

You'd have to give me a phonetic breakdown, cause you're son might hate you.

Hey Phantom, Elisha is a Hebrew masculine name. I'd name him after the prophet who succeeded Elijah. I've thought of that myself that's why there's another more popular masculine name, that of New Testament Biblical character Zechariah.

Elisha is a great name... I personally prefer Elijah, but whatever toots your horn.

Oh, and Phantom, I think you're pronouncing it wrong in your head. It's not ee-lee-sha, it's ee-lie(as in don't tell a lie)sha, right, sleepyhead?

Hi Sarah,

Phonetically it is ee-lee-shaw (A Jewish friend pronounced it that way). Ee-lie-sha is a nice suggestion though, I might use another variation, that is, Elysha =)

Btw, in Hebrew Elisha means "God is deliverance."
