Fired Up

Today I decided to fire up the grill. I'd been wanting to since I got home from the road but just hadn't got around to buying the charcoal. As, to my horror, I discovered that I was out of toilet paper this morning I decided to hop on the bike and make a supply run.

Nothing really compares to the taste of food cooked outdoors on an open grill. I used a mesquite charcoal to get that extra-good smoked flavor. Yum.

I like adding some real wet apple-wood chips to the charcoal after they have started real good, gives it a smoke flavor very different than mesquite.

sounds good!  makes coming home real sweet.

my son just an inexpensive 18 inch charcoal grill for us,  I love burgers and corn cooked on them and he likes his cheese brats, dogs, and chicken.

I am going for my Cholesterol Blood work Tuesday.  Until then, the grill is off limits.  Have a great meal and describe it for me.  I will read it after then. (crying in my tofu!)
