Shave and a Haircut

Working out in the sun and warmer temps the past week or so made me decide that the beard had to go and my hair needed cut despite my previous decisions to the contrary. Last night I solemnly broke out the scissors and cut away enough of my beard to get at it with a razor. Four 4-blade razors later it was history.

Today I rode over to the barber shop and had my mane cut down to a more reasonable and cooler level. I have to admit it does feel a lot better and doesn't look too bad either. I really hate shaving and enjoyed having the longer hair, but I work out of doors a lot and as we're going into the hot months practicality won out.

Aww, Mason!  I've seen you before...actually, I my favorite pic of you was when you had short hair and a 'fu' mustache...you were wearing a cowboy hat and looked pretty darn good!!!!!

Oh alright. We'll just consider it an early halloween.

I left my good camera in the truck so had to use the webcam, so the pic is pretty crappy. But then, maybe that's a good thing.

Yeah, it's definately cooler. I just picked up some blades for my old fashioned double edged razor, haven't ued that thing in years. I'm surprised I could still find blades for it as those razors are almost impossible to find these days.

Multiple blades are fine I guess but the old fashioned razor blade just always seemed to give me a closer shave without as much irritation. Now I just have to get used to using it again (without cutting my throat in the process)
