It Finally Arrived!

As I mentioned in another post I stopped in KY and purchased the Calabash pipe I had been wanting. Well, when I got to the yard today I found that the churchwarden I had ordered off the internet had arrived. Yippie! I had been really looking forward to getting my grimy paws on that pipe. :)

The top one is the Calabash, the bottom one is the mail order pipe. It's the same pipe smoked by Gandalf in LOTR. I've already started breaking it in. :D

So how many pipes do you have? When did you start collecting them? My dad smoked a pipe when I was little. I remember buying him a super bright blue one for father's day one year.

I just got started again smoking a pipe about...what?...a month ago, maybe six weeks.

I only have ten pipes at the moment. And one on order ( a meerschaum churchwarden). The Calabash is the most expensive one I currently have (over $100), but I don't regret buying it. It smokes better than any of the others.
