Scene: Last night, bedtime for boy. Family is sitting on the couch when the anouncement comes.

Mom: Okay, Connor it's time for bed. Did you brush your teeth and go to the bathroom?

(Nods from boy)

Dad: Come give me a hug.

Boy: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9....(deep breath)...10...(slows pace down) 11 12 13 14 15 16 17...

Dad: Whoa, Stop. What's up with all the counting?

Boy: First you say 1, then you say 2 and then you have to say 3 and then you have to say 4 and then you say 5 and then you have to say 6.....

Both parents: stop, Stop...STOP!!! Okay, we get it. Thank you. (try not to laugh)

I'll have to try that one day! (Actually, my kids are fairly well trained....at least in regards to bedtime and naps)
