A while back, Cordelia did a blog on where are you.  But it was limited to the 50 states.  Which was good, but not really good for all.  Recently, Sally posted a blog, and Dynamaso said something about posting while we sleep.  He lives down under, so yea, he is offset from us colonials by 12-14 hours.  I know Islandgurl is also over there as she does not usually come on line until after 6pm, my time.

But I am curious as to where you are at in time.  Here on the east coast of America, we are at GMT-4 right now (Greenwich Meridian Time).  We are also on daylight savings time (you know where you cut off one end of the blanket and sew it to the other end to make it longer.)  During normal times, we are GMT-5.

So where are you?  For windows users, it is easy to find out.  Go to your PC Clock and click on Time zones.  It shows you your stated one (alaskan time) but also your GMT offset.  So let us know.  And the fun of this is everyone is right (OBTW:  Macs have the same setup on their Date/Time Control Panel - Mason will have to instruct you on the Linux setup - i.e. where you can find it).

GMT+10 here - there's no daylight saving at the moment in Oz. It's nearly winter here.

Well, since it's part of England and the Brits do, I would imagine that Greenwich does too.

I meant that when we switch over, our designation changes.  I.e. we go from EST to EDT.  I wonder if their designation changes as well, and that GMT stays the same, but GDT goes into effect.

Anyway, I exist in official Stardock time

I don't have day time sayings and that sucks when you have satelite. In January I'm watching 2 episodes of Start Trek TNG between 4 and 6 PM and now I'm watching only 1 episode between 4 and 5 PM cause the previous episode is now at 3 PM and I'm still working.

That is probably part of the reason Indiana went to it as well.  The Border towns of Mexico give you their time in US zones, but the ones on the borders are often hard to remember, as they are under california, but go by Arizona time.  Missed a dentist appointment that way.

3 main ones - East, Central and West. I think some of the island possessions run on different timezones but I'm not certain of that.
