Tip for Posting when JU is Hinky

Tip for Posting when JU is Hinky

JU is acting Hinky today {GASP} .  Yes it is true.  Many have been posting 2, 3 or more times because they get an error when posting an article.  It happens, it has happened before, and probably will again.

Just a suggestion for those not wanting the hassle of multiple articles saying the exact same thing.  When you get the error message, open a second browser window (leave the original one on the Article you are trying to post) and navigate to Joe User/Newest Articles.  If it is listed, just close the first window.

Make sure you open a new window.  This is for 2 reasons.  If the first window really did not post, you can always hit "submit" again (after hitting the back button).  Second, by opening a new window and navigating to the Newest article page, you ensure you will get a refresh of that page, and not a cached copy (which the latter could lead you to think it did not take the first time).

Just a trick of the trade I figured out after having to clean up several burps of my articles as well.

I hope those that aren't reading the tips are smart enough to make judicious use of the 'delete' option on those duplicate articles.

I saw a test post by T-man, and then the duplicates disappeared.  Some need to learn about the Delete option too I guess.

Hahahaha! Oh goodness, MM, you're points grubbing a little, aren't you?

I've noticed the same thing, Doc, and hopefully people will finally get it and stop quadruple posting.

Or delete them once they realize they did it. It is better for the author to select which one to keep, than the admins.

I keep telling the local radio call in show: "I don't know where these "tax and spend" Republicans came from, but I'd like to send 'em back".

My opponent's currently embroiled in the state's most recent efforts to raise tax. His boast? That he lobbied the legislature to cut the proposed $1 a pack cigarette tax back to 65 cents. Of course, he's working hard to increase taxes on businesses.

I told my wife the other day, "I'm trying not to make this an attack campaign, but he keeps making it EASY for me!"
