Erasing memories?

I just finished watching the movie "The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". For those who haven't heard of it, basically, these people can go to this office and have the memory of anyone or anything they want completely erased. They can alter their life and their memories, to create a life that seems to be perfect in their perception. anyone else knows that they've had this procedure done, and is warned by the clinic to never mention what's been erased to the person again. I wonder, if anyone of you had the option of having some of their memories erased, would you?

If your thinking impairs your general quality of life and interferes with daily living, then by all means YES. I plan to be one of the first volunteers into this program. Here's a question... do you remember what you did exactly 3 months ago on Weds. at 10 p.m.? If not, does that bother you? Sure doesn't bother me.
