When Blogging Becomes a Chore

I'm sitting just short of 1500 blogs in my tenure on JU, and I don't know where I'll go from here. I did not get out to blog at all yesterday, due to feeling pretty lousy, and after perusing the forums today, have to admit, I'm not in much of a mood to blog at this moment. Now, that may all change even before my time online ends, I don't know. But let's just say that I'm in a less than generous mood for communicating online, especially when reading a number of less than civil posts or comments to articles that interest me.

Now, don't get me wrong; this isn't a "pity blog" or a goodbye blog. I am just feeling anything but diplomatic today, and not in a mood to do much. But because I blog about who I am, I feel it important to say SOMETHING at least.

This will pass, I am sure. But I don't know if I'm going to put out anything substantial on my blogs today.

Some days are just like that. We don't always agree but you write good stuff and express yourself well. Sometimes it's good to just take a break until the muse inspires you once again.

I look forward to reading it when that happens.

Taking a break is not bad, especially someone as prolific as you!  I had no idea of your quantity, just the quality.

I know how ya feel...its rainy here and I don't feel much like blogging either...my youngest is really sick right now and spends most of his time on my lap.

Well, I've earned blacklist on a number of blogs here as well, too, apparently, so I think I'm probably done with JU for awhile.

I thought it was a glitch for a second, because one of those who blacklisted me, frankly, surprised me, but nope. JU becomes less fun when you can't comment on half the articles!

Gid...I FINALLY am allowed to comment on this article again.....JU is doing this to me as well today....not allowing or even showing the comments option.....I signed out and then back in and it worked for a bit....but then I couldn't comment on anyone's blog for several minutes.....

So don't think you're blacklisted by anyone today...JU is acting funky.

I doubt you've been blacklisted. JU jas been acting a bit weird for me today too. I couldn't comment on a couple of articles, including this one. It took 3 attemps before I could comment on this one today.

As a rule, I have a day off from my blog once a week. I find that it helps me to regroup. I try to have stuff pre-planned now instead of writing on the spot. It allows me to catch me up later during the week (if needed).

Blog only when YOU feel like it. Don't feel like you HAVE to blog.
