Your Dream House

Your Dream House

I love the home I'm in right now but I, like many others I'm sure, daydream about a "dream house".  I've always wanted a pool but our backyard is too small and is also a wind tunnel.  I would also love to custom design my bathrooms and kitchen with all the new stuff they have out these days.

I think the one thing a would really want would be a much bigger, well organize laundry room complete with two washers and two driers.  I saw that show about the family with 16 kids who built their own home.  They really did it right.  They had two kitchens, one a stylized conventional kitchen and the other was a commercial kitchen.  They had a huge pantry with several chest freezers and a garage door to it so they could simply pull right up and unload.  The part I thought was genius was the laundry room.  They had, I believe, six washers and driers.  I can't fathom doing laundry for a family of 18!

So what features would your dream house have?

Wow Trudy, when you get it can I come live with you? Me and four other people!

My dream home would have a pool in back, with a tennis court, a lovely garden and lots of space for romping and barbecueing.

Inside would be a 7 bedroom, 5 bath dream (who wants to clean all those bathrooms!) There would be a family den, a sitting room, dining room within the large kitchen which would be outfitted with everything I want. There would be a large veranda that surrounds the house from every angle. Oh yea, and a game room especially for my son. And last but not least a gym outfitted with the best equipment. And a home office too! Now who's going to clean all that? I had better have a contract with those Merry cleaning people!LOL!

I have been putting together (in my mind and on my PC) my dream home for years now. I found a great program that allowed me to make an arquitectual design of it then raise the walls 3 dimetionally and I was blown away. I have way too many ideas about my dream home so if you don't mind and with your permission, I wish to make a spin-off article from your article about my dream home so that I don't take up so much space on you article and that way I can see what some of you think about my ideas. keep in mind that what I plan for I feel I can only reach by either having a job that pays a lot and will have to save for a long time or hit the lottery. But I believe it would be worth it.

I will get to my article at once and have it up ASAP. Great article BTW.

Now you've done it Jill. You woke up my insparation to finally do the entire design of the house. I opened my 3D home design software and begane to make it happen. I added features to the house that I could not figure out how to do before. So far almost everything I want to do to the house seems to be coming out fine. I think it might be a few days for me to make the article since I plan on using images from my software to illustrate some of the features. I guess I'm ganno go all out with this article. One thing I was thinking while starting this projects was I think some people might say that I gave to much info and that maybe people might copy my ideas. I believe that if my ideas are good enough and can make some peoples lives easier than I don't mind sharing my ideas. I plan on making most of the stuff from scratch except the electronic stuff of course. Every minute I spend on the PC makes the house better and better.
