YOU MEAN I ONLY GOT 1 MEASLY NOMINATION?

And It Was In The Bloggers Most Likely To Fail Category?

This is outrageous. I was just checking the 2004 1st annual JU Award Nominees and I couldn't believe that all I got was 1 measly nomination. And it's in the Bloggers Most Likely To Fail category. Do you people not find me interesting? Do you not find me lovable? Do you not find me original or comical? Am I not even annoying or controversial? And don’t I make a lot of sense in my articles?

I don’t know what the world of blogging is coming to when they cant even recognize an intelligent, interesting, moral, young man like me. And I'm a good Christian too.

In the real world I'm liked. I work well with people at my business. Actually, its only a small company and my dad owns most of it. I have a reasonable number of friends. My relatives all like me. Though I'm no Casanova, I've had some lady friends. The pastor at my church is a good friend of mine. I participate in most church activities, and always help the pastor when any events are scheduled.

Oh well--I guess in the world of blogging I'm a complete failure. That's the way it goes. I'll have to try my hand at some other Internet pastime.

Sorry if I seem to be flaming, but...

If you know someone who keep on preaching hatred to you each time you go by, or said hello, would you consider that person a friend?

You may hit troll button if you want. It's something something have to say to you.

I agree with XX...

you never offer anything constructive... ever. You are so one eyed its rediculous. you have called many a user here Fags etc.

You can either be part of a community, or you can be a seperate entity within that community. Its totally up to you. Dont be so narcissistic - people who write blogs just to be liked will never get liked... just be honest, but open minded at the same time. Respect other peoples positions, and maybe just sometimes agree to disagree.

BAM!!!

you just seem very inconsistent, like you stand for nothing. I don't find that very admirable. But don't worry, God loves you. That's really all that matters I reckon.

and just so you know, to most of us this is much more than just some measily pastime.

To me anyway...

Marvin, if you want some constructive criticism then I will be happy to offer it:

I feel you are basically trying to be a comedian and get a rise out of people and you are doing quite well, this is fine but you need to broaden your subject matter somewhat or your act will become stale. I see a lot of similarities between myself and you Marvin, you are basically a less wittier version of me hence you were nominated for only 1 award - The awards are a bit of fun anyway, you shouldn't judge your self worth as a man or comedian by them.

I wish you well Marvin

Ditto on everything that's been said. And also, quit with the all-cap titles. 7/16ths of an inch is all it takes... take off the caps lock.

Haven't looked at it yet but wonder if there was any broadening of categories. The award idea is a very good one and the owners should take the idea and run with it. I think they can corner the award show of blogging and put our best against the best of other sites in a form of debate or style competition that would go on ad infinitum. Dues for a club and awards could be developed and national publicity and training could then ensue. It is a niche that is here to stay and I've sen this site go from where it took me a week to get into the top twenty to where today a lady is saying she has worked and worked to get into the top 100 now. The number of bloggers here is exponential and this site can now take its' place amongst the Gods of blog sites, putting our best against the best of any site.
Maybe OO can be our best at failing by showing he is as ascerbic as the most ascerbic of any site. Hey, make lemonade Marv.

Dude, I find it interesting that you are upset about having only one blog. Even if it is Most Likely To Fail, at least people realize you as a true blogger here. I mean, someone had to be most likely to fail. I nominated JeremyG for it and of course I didn't mean it so maybe whoever noinated you for it didn't mean it either. At least you aren't struggling to be recognized in the land of Joeuser. I proudly have moved from the upper 70 to 47 in the short time that I have been back here.

Wahk, I like that idea about going up against the award winners of other groups. In the long run we would probably end up with memebers of all kinds of grops spread throughout all blog sites. It would be a great honor to be one of the, IMO, old-school members of the site that started the Blog Wars.

In real life, you would be a guy shouting and preaching in a nice park where people come to talk gently and relax. it might help you to improve, but is I though that someone with strong beliefs and moral principle wouldn't care being loved...
Anyway if it is your goal you should definitevly rethink your strategy...
