It Happens Again

I saw you watching me,
furtive glances,
a shy smile by accident,
that’s how it began.

Spontaneous laughter,
making the bridge
between stranger and acquaintance,
soon enough, a friend.

Brief moments alone
prompts definite interest,
sparking more than just curiosity,
drawing us closer than before.

Time spent together,
flies by and
stands still,
Creation of history.

A simple touch,
too intense to take,
where did this sudden heat come from?
a note of desire turns my head.

Not knowing what comes next,
this certain delight,
the anticipating thrill,
it is to be, again and again.

I take it your date went well, then?

Haha. Not that the poem has anything to do with it, but I did have a good time. It wasn't a date, either... just a chance to get to know a really good guy.

A really good guy or a hunk of "sudden heat"?

Nice poem. It seems I wasn't the only one bitten by the poem bug lately ;) I've got a few more in the pipeline, should be out soon :)
