Uh Huh
Album: B2K
Year: 2002

Omarion thinks he's God's gift to teenage girls in the arrogant "Uh Huh."

Gaudy keyboards open the song, setting a hollow tone. In the intro, Omarion says people will be jamming to the song. He namechecks the producers and the group.
"Yeah, hey yo trick/How you gonna come up with something like this man?/Yeah/When this come on/They'll be like "uh-huh"/ Haha/Red Zone /Yo B2k/Yo, where you at?"

In the first verse, Omarion tells his girlfriend that she went about the wrong way to get his attention. She could've told him herself. Instead, he found out through her best friend that she liked him. He said to her best friend that he'll go out with her. However, she's has to be able to handle his larger than life personality. Her best friend responded that she'd really outgoing and will do whatever he wants to do. He recommends that she does not play coy. It's a pet peeve of his.
"Girl you messed when you let me in/Told your best friend that you wanted me/Then she called me up and hipped me to your steez/Told me you were lookin' for a guy like me /So I said hold on I don’t want/Unless shorty really wanna have some fun/Then she said that you told her I was what you want/When I call you don't try to front."

In the pre-chorus, Omarion boasts that he’s the ultimate prize and eye candy. She's lucky to have him. He's as sought after as the newest Ipod and girls at the school would die to be in her position.
"I'm the guy in your dreams/That you had last night/I'm the Benz wit tha 20'z/That you wanna drive/I'm the thug in your life/That'll treat you right/Got ya hooked 'cause I’m bringin' everything you like uh huh."

In the chorus, he brags once again that a girl (of many) likes him. But first, she has to be the pass the hips test. If she passes, she will get to be in his presence and will have the pleasure of being seen with him.
"I know that you wantin' this (uh huh)/Tell me can you handle it (uh huh)/Show me how you work dem hips (uh huh)/And maybe you can roll with it (uh huh)/I know that you wantin' this (uh huh)/Tell me can you handle it (uh huh)/Show me how you work dem hips (uh huh)/And maybe you can roll with it (uh huh)."

In the second verse, he says they've been dating for awhile and he's ready to go public. He tells her he's heard the gossip and people have figured out their US Weekly-type game. He says that he wants to show her off. He ok's her to talk about their relationship with her friends and to make them jealous.
"Now we're all out in the open/Everybody knows about you and me/There's no more need for you and me to creep/I want you so bad I don't care who sees/So girl hold on I got what you want/I know you ain't scared to go have some fun/So let your girls know that you found someone/Who be keepin' you tight and crunk."

The pre-chorus and chorus are sung again.

In the bridge, Lil' Fizz raps that after two months of dating she's beginning to get obsessive. He blames it on his hotness and compares himself to Danny Glover. He says his girlfriend is telling her mom what a great guy he is and how he might be the one. He scolds her, informing her that it's nothing serious. He's looking only for a trophy on his arm. To him, she's just another crazy girl. He could go to another state and still find another as pretty as her.
"Two months of conversation/Man it's a major/Spit the game undercover/I'm lethal like Danny Glover/Got you runnin' to your mother/Makin' plans for life/Yo I'm only 15 what I need wit a wife/We can walk through the mall while I hold ya hips/Or you can hang out the drop while I'm pushin' the whip/Take you on a ride that you'll never forget/Runnin' home tellin' ya friends Lil' Fizz is it/Got ya hooked by the way that I lick my lips/And I got many dimes I ain't sweatin' a chick/Yo I run these girls from coast to coast/Droppin' game so sick I got 'em doin' the most."

The pre-chorus and chorus are sung again to close the single.

In middle school, Omarion started having girls hanging around him all the time. It was cool and he enjoyed flirting with him. Now that he's in high school, he expects the same amount of attention. Girls have never been a problem and he thinks he just has to exist. He also believes it entitles him to call the shots in the relationship. It's all about his needs and wants. The girls have to be quiet and pretty.

His nasal, self-conscious vocals undercut the pompous lyrics. In turn, he makes him appear to be insecure and only reinforces that he's a girl magnet in his own mind. Lil' Fizz once again objectifies women. They can be easily discarded and replaced. His fake Snoop Dogg, wannabe pimp act is laughable and immature.

The bass is overwhelming as is the keyboards. The obnoxious beat screams to be noticed, but it shrinks into the background instead.

The single's backwards attitude towards relationships causes it to be disturbing and chilling.
