Soil of Eden, Breath of God

"Our bodies originated in the soil of Eden. It should not surprise us that they are sustained by food that grows from the soil. Every source of food ultimately finds its nourishment in the soil, and that nourishment sustains our bodies.

Likewise, our souls were created by the breath of God in Eden; it should not surprise us that the Word of God, which is inspired, or "God breathed," sustains our souls. If we plan to eat food each day to keep our body alive, shouldn't we also plan to feast on God's Word each day to sustain our soul?""

You should have made it a poem, as it is very poetic.  And good.

Wise words. I went to bed last night after reading blogs for at least a solid hour...as captivating as man's words can be...it still left me feeling empty. I woke up at 4am thirsting for the undiluted word of God. How we stray from it, it's so easy to do.

I'm still amazed when I read God's words. I don't how many times I get all excited about some new thought or revelation about God as I read his word. It is truly nourishment for the soul. It's simple enough for a child to understand and complex enough to keep the intellectual busy for a lifetime.
