Dungeon Siege II Expansion Details

Summer Release, New Campaign

2K Games has acquired the publishing rights to Gas Powered Games' Dungeon Siege franchise. In the agreement, 2K Games will release two new titles for the franchise, a PC expansion for Dungeon Siege II and an all new game for the PSP.

Dungeon Siege II: Broken World will open up a new realm for players this summer, picking up where the previous entry left off. The expansion will introduce a new campaign, a new race and a new multiclass development system.

They're pretty much the same, but Ds2 has a deeper skill tree and more quests.

Who owned the rights to Ds2 before 2kgames?

Odd I wonder why microsoft would give up the publishing rights to it, they publish Ds1 and it sold pretty well.

I'm wondering the same thing. Microsoft's been talking up on how their going to reinvest in PC gaming and this clearly sends the opposite message.
