Checking In From Kentucky

Another beautiful day for driving. A tad chilly but not bad at all. Clear sunny skies and no wind. After several days of driving in very heavy cross winds it's a nice change of pace.

I'll be in WIsconisn this evening and unload the truck first thing tomorrow morning. And then, who knows? I'm hoping for a nice Texas run, but will have to wait and see.

The trucck I am hauling just returned from overseas and is going back to the factory for refurbishment. I don't think it came from the Middle East as it's painted green instead of sand, but who knows? I do know it shows some signs of wear and tear and has a few missing parts. Not as bad as some of the others I saw being loaded when I picked it up. Some of them looked pretty beat up.

Well, back to the road. :D

Yeah I passed through Lexington today. Bundle up is right. After the warmth of South Carolina I'm freezing up here ::

I liked driving through Kentucky. Nice mountains and beautiful scenery, if I remember right. Stopped in Lexington for gas and a break from the long drive from Arizona to Pennsylvania, back in 1993.

Yeah, KY is one of the more pleasant states to drive through.

Even with all those briars?

(I went to school in Ohio and anyone from south of the Ohio River was called a Briar)

You know, you bring that song to mind when I read you, "on the road again...." it's a C&W song, don't remember who sang it, don't remember all the words but those words are part of the chorus and I love singing it because it brings back many memories for me. As usual, stay safe M!
