Cookies and Thoughtfulness make for a Nice Valentine's Day

I made heart shaped cookies for my family for Valentine’s Day....yes, yes, I know it’s not a big deal to many on here (some of you have made that very clear from what I've read
)...but heck, I like it. It’s not like I went out and bought everyone Godiva chocolates and diamond earrings...just some nice homemade baked goods.
Also, I have received several thoughtful gifts from my students...some flowers, a teddy bear, some cute Valentine cards...it’s sweet that they thought of me.
I got them pencils and lollipops (which they are not allowed to eat until after school...but who knows if they can wait that long).
Before I left for work this morning, I asked my b/f if he’d be my Valentine...he gave me his “You are so goofy, but I love you” smile and said yes...I really hope he likes the gift I got him...nothing expensive, but something I really think he’s gonna like (let’s just say it involves his super bowl champion team.
He doesn’t know it, but he gave me a nice start to Valentines by offering a back and leg rub (my feet had been killing me yesterday)...this man can definitely give a massage...tender but firm.
We might both go out later to a nice casual place to eat some Italian food...we’ll see what happens. Even if we don’t, I’d say this has been a Lovely Love-y day so far.
