Newbe question

Hi All,
I just started using these programs and really like the way the themes make my screen look. But I was wondering, with some of the themes, all the files, icons, and short cuts on my desk top are gone. Is there a way to access them or do I need to create a folder and move all the desk top information to it? Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dayok

Are you using WindowBlinds or DeskTopX?

Sorry, the programs I've been using I down loaded form this site, The theme manager, with DesktopX, windowblinds, the whole suite of programs. Yesterday, I had to restore to an earlier point in time as I was having trouble booting up. I had a OS2 warp screen during boot up, but the system made me start it in a safe mode. The themes were the only changes I made on the system.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Dayok

desktopx can hide the icons and the taskbar - most themes that have this, have them incorporated into the theme or a shorcut to get to them

object dock can hide the taskbar

object bar can hide the taskbar (can't remember about the icons - don't have all programs reinstalled yet)

if both icon and taskbar are disappearing when using a theme, then the odds are you're applying a desktopx theme. if you have standard version or above, you can right click the system tray icon (once you find it in the theme ) and switch to builder mode where in builder setting you will the options to unhide them

Almost sounds as if there was a Bootskin issue...Thats what crashed the system, the other issues I dont think would have done it...

hmm..didn't think of bootskin...but Dayok did mention 'the whole suite'...so could very well be.

bootskin doesn't play nice with everyone
