Hi!

Been using stardock for a while. After updating to 1.39 Half of the icons are clipped from my view and the clock is too far down. It looks like the same issue happening on the second screen, but this is the only screen on my laptop. I uninstalled and reinstalled but still have the same issue. Winver and issue screenshots are attached. Thanks!

Just updated to the latest version 1.39.1

And after rebooting the taskbar is approx. 5/16" from going all the way to the top of the screen.  Yes I restarted explorer.  rebooted it again. uninstalled it, rebooted, reinstalled it and got the same problem.  Moving it to the bottom and then back didn't fix it either.....

After updating to the latest release i have lost the clock and all the icons by the clock. I had to uninstall to get them back.

I'm not on any insider build.

I also have the same problem as @askm1976 - no tray icons or clock on Task Bar.

I am not on an insider build, and no optional preview either. But I did install:

Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022913)

just before Start11 stopped working properly.

I have solved my issue by going to Start 11 settings and turning off 'Let Start11 enhance the Taskbar'. So back to ugly Windows task bar, but at least it has a clock and tray icons.

I installed beta 1.4 - and now my taskbar is nicely customised and with clock and functional tray icons

That search bar is Microsoft.  You can remove it from Windows taskbar settings.

Seems systray crowding is still occurring with version 1.39.1. The referenced thread, https://forums.stardock.com/516824/start11-systray-crowding, is locked, hence comments here. My device is a laptop driving 2 external monitors with extended mode enabled. Windows 11 Enterprise 21H2, OS build, 22000.1574, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.1574.0. The problem still occurs randomly, though less frequently with version 1.39.1. The occurrence is related with the appearance/disappearance of the language selection icon (in this image, ENG US) and with the notifications icon (in this image, 7). The language selection icon can be easily made to disappear by switching to an open remote desktop window and it reappears when you return focus back to any other window. Unfortunately, I have not been able to provoke to issue on demand. Hopefully, the language icon repainting tip assists in the investigation.

Start 11 version 1.39.1

Windows 11 Pro version 22H2 OS build 22621.1344 running on Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz   2.59 GHz

Start11 uninstalled (including settings), reboot, and then latest version downloaded and reinstalled

Problem does not go away.

Problem description:  After using Windows Update to install 2023-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022913), the following problems occurred.  They did not exist prior to installing update KB5022913.

1.  System tray icons are always aligned at the very bottom of the taskbar, even if vertical centering of the icons is selected.  There is no margin (no pixels) between the bottom edge of the icon and the bottom edge of the screen.

2. System tray icons are widely spaced, compared to the more "normal" spacing of the icons on the left of the taskbar.

3. Clock time and date in the system tray extend below the bottom of the screen.  Only the top 1/3 of the characters in the date are visible.

4. Start button size cannot be made SMALL.  It stays the default size.  It also stays bottom-aligned even if vertical centering of icons is selected.  As a result, the taskbar cannot be made small - it also stays the default height.   Button is configured to be at the left.

5. Task view button size cannot be made SMALL.  It stays the default size.  It also stays bottom-aligned even if vertical centering of icons is selected.  As a result, the taskbar cannot be made small - it also stays the default height.

Icons not listed in problems 1, 4, and 5 can be resized to SMALL (good!) and vertically centered (good!).

All problems described above occur on all displays in use at the same time for a given computer. 

The problem for me is related to a windows update KB5022913 on 2-14-23.  If I install this update, my taskbar at the top is about a 1/4" from the top of the screen........if I uninstall this Windows update, all goes back to normal and correct.  I checked and the KB update does the same to previous versions of Start 11 too.  So it's not just the 1.39 version, even though that's when it started for me because it was the 1st update made after Feb. 14th and this Win11 update.

This problem occurs regardless of what version of Start 11 is installed..........This Windows 11 update is for changes MS made in the taskbar...... Stardock needs to address these changes in their programs.

This most likely the problem causing other problems with their taskbars too.
