I played the game yesterday October 9th 2018 after an update.   My ship went to the sector where a vanished Alien race did extra-dimensional experiments similar to those done by the Androsynth in SC2.   There were some hints that they were contacted by the Orz (*camper* references).

After visiting that system, the forward part of my ship was no longer visible for a while, it was as if it had been poked in another dimension although all of the modules on my ship worked as normal.  The forward part of the ship stayed invisible for 10-20 minutes of game play.  It only became visible again after I came back from one of the sectors occupied by the Harmony Ships.

Is this an upcoming feature of a consequence of going to that system or is this a bug ?

There was also some strange background noise in one of the system I visited in the upper left quadrant of the map.  It was annoying enough for me to turn off the volume.  That system previously didn't make that wierd noise before the update.
