Hello fellas, seems like we are face to other SCO bug.
I meet it first, but later my friends confirm it's quite stable.
So, pre-requisites:
- Any notebook with Nvidia Optimus (Intel + Nvidia GPU combo).
Symptoms:
- After some time in the game (especially after game was loaded), you only got 4-6FPS at planet scan, and 6-10 FPS at planet surface. Ut makes landing to the planet nearly-impossible.
Analysis:
- Using hwinfo, i configure out:
-- CPU and GPU temperatures are in range, no overhead
-- Doesn't have any errors in log
-- CPU working at lower possible multiplayer (speed), so it's slowed down as high as possible - and that's the source of the problem.
-- Even if minimal CPU state limited in power settings, game put CPU at lower one available, ignoring this.
Looks like wired game engine bug for me. Did you test you game on notebooks with Optimus (well... nearly any gamer's gear notebooks, in fact)?
So, for now game is unplayable on this systems. Waiting for patch/MB.
