I have a few suggestions that could add to the game play dynamic, though it would definitely have to be trialed...but could open up other possibilities and create maybe a new mode. It's mostly around making meteors in melee more interactive:
*some meteors can hurt you (e.g. 1-3 crew damage max).
*some meteors can benefit you...e.g fuel cells on them (fill up to full capacity)
*syreen's own special meteor - with a stranded syreen colony sending a syreen call to the mothership for pick up
*orz's 'pods' can also attack syreen colony before they can be called by the syreen ship?? (using a 2nd special move)
