I play mostly at home, but sometimes load it at work to play during breaks. Problem is, when I last tried to load it and was presented with the "Stardock" registration window (where one inputs email address, password, and game serial#), it failed. I was first presented with a window that said that either the email couldn't be found or that the password was incorrect, then I was presented with a window that said that Stardock could not register the game on this computer, then the game installation turned off after telling me that installation failed.
I know the email and password were correct (I was logged into Stardock) and I tried re-downloading the game twice, but to no avail.
Another detail is that where I work, all computers have a program installed called DeepFreeze. What DeepFreeze does is that it "freezes" a computer image when the computer itself is initially formatted, and every time the computer restarts it starts on that image. In turn, anything that was saved on the computer that is not part of the "frozen" image is erased. Where I work, it is used as a security feature to prevent malware that might be inadvertently downloaded by anyone, simply restart the computer and the malware is, of course, gone. What this means for me is that any time I want to play I have to re-download the game and install it since computers are shut down nightly.
The first couple of times I played on another (non-home) computer it worked fine, but what I described just began happening yesterday. I've written Stardock about the issue but haven't heard back yet, and could not find the answer to my question in the forums, so I was wondering if anyone here might know what the problem might be, and how I could fix it? Could it be that because I've downloaded the game several times that I've somehow been "flagged" by Stardock as a security measure on their part (thinking I am illegally distributing copies or something)?
