Instead of paying $100 for a "Whamadyne Edition" plastic trinket and art book? Sounds great to me! I'd gladly pay up front and contribute towards a quality product, rather than spend years with unrealistic expectations, fueled by "previews" who's pre-release praise is directly proportional to the amount of ad revenue brought in by said review site. That sort of letdown results in visceral, Cartman-like reactions of "screw you guys, I'm going home; and you're not getting any of my money ever again!"
