lol this thread...seriously...Extacide vs and his main point is actually perfect but he just has to throw the twist in so you keep replying to a dead issue...We haven't played on a tournament level for long enough or in enough numbers to clearly establish class imbalances. Probably still a good month away from that, especially since they took organized team play out of stat rankings...By tourney 10 we should have a rough idea of what works and even there the furthest I'll predict will be to say that Generals are vital on any team with more than 1 player. You heard it here first, folks..
Back OT - Tweak the armor debuffs to deal with stacking - that's the only imbalance we are gonna see with Erebus in high level play. No one is playing seriously enough to exploit it yet but it will be very strong when we finally get around to it...
You can beat Erebus in 1 v 1 as Regulus pretty consistently until players start developing good minion micro. It comes down to Farming+Mines and Mark. I like to have 6 mines right in front of me and 3 more ready to trigger, but that's just me. All your pew pew Angelic Fury builds failing don't mean the vamp is OP or even that he's a hard counter - Just means you have to figure some stuff out without a build order taped to your monitor...
If you do want a hard counter play against Erebus as a shield/penitence Oak...not really much he can do against that without some serious minion micro (which you can counter likewise), and not even the good Erebs I've seen have ever really had to learn that.
Notice a theme with the strong minion micro? Yah, that's where the true test will come in - can any Assassin survive against a General who knows how to use his pets? We'll have to find out, but I guess that's offtopic, sorry - please continue ^^
