I decided to make only one chapter for each race, there will be a Imperial Guard and Space Marines separated and they wont be the same race, I want to create all of the basic races (Im just nost sure about Daemon Hunters and Witch Hunters, they should be a special race or in a group with space marines, Adeptus Mechanicus will be part of the SpaceMarines even if they are quite separated), midn8t is right about creating a base of W40K universe and then adding some other details, I very appreciate all the advices and ideas here |
I was down at games workshop store othere day and i actully asked about race thing bettween space marines and impearl guard.
answear i got was this.
just becuase you have space marines and impearl guard armys as seapeart indentis dosnt mean there whole speart races.
it be like saying that becuase usa marines, usa air froce and usa army along wiht speacil froces are diffrent factions dosnt mean they must be diffrent completly and work seperatly as if there rouge factions.
the air froce marines and navy are diffrent orgnizations and factions but there lead by same gernerals and leaders. same holds true with the space marines and impearl guard and any tohere froce thats part of the impearuim.
and to relat this they said that in books codexs it states that you can use units from any above armys to gethere as allie froces. so that you can have army of impearl guard with space marines with witch hunters and so forth.
and space marines and impearl guard along with witch hunter armys which are just, inquiostor lead armys and inqueiotrs have abilty to recurit driectly from impearl guard along with space marines.
i was also told that there are gorups that are rouge, kinda but there on edge of become chaos, one example is blood angels and dark angels who are consdier but alot to be almost hertics.
space mainres and impearl guard also share same planets and resrouces. and there tehcnology comes from same group techprist.
the, space marine chatpers recurit driectly from impearl guard ranks those that have proved them selfs not from planets they take over that they see as below them.
example civilians are not worthy, of becoming space marines, space marines can live for 1000 of thouansd of years beucase they dont only get genticly changed but they can inquoire robitc features. there people who have proved them selfs in combat over and over and over agin and or even may have givern there life in combat.
as for that if space marines and impearl guard always half to be on a diploamcy of allie and always. so it always be two civlizations with two diffrent researchs going agsint every one elese and every one elese would also always be fighting each othere.
so if you had 6 civlizations playing it be 2 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1 you would half to do some editing of the diplomacy stuff. and allinces would always half to share everything.
which make dipomlacy harder in the game. cuz then tohere races could never be allies cuz in warhammer 40k unvier even if they meet an uneasy truce they would never share resources.
so there half to be a sepeart dipomacy structor for space marinesa nd impearl guard and then a diffrent one for othere races.
as for witch hunters there army would half to be included into both races if you spearted space marines and impearl guard senes they can work with both races and use nits form both armys.
space marine armys also can take command and control impearl guard forces.
so youd half to also allow impearl guard units into space marine faction senes they can command and use them.
space marine chapters are always above and control driectly impearl guard, inquestiors are above both. but can not driectly take over a chapter but can revierl a space marine commander of duty.
start off i would probably just do one army frist, and id proably do an evial army like dark elfs or necrons some easy with not alot of units, that give you time to see how things work how it go to gethere learn little and also give you time to think about dipolmacys and othere issues.
